ESKAS Scholars: Strengthening Switzerland’s Global Research Ties
ESKAS is more than a scholarship programme. It builds lasting relationships and trust, the foundations on which international cooperation depends. It connects our research to international networks that keep Switzerland dynamic, competitive and globally relevant. ESKAS alumni now work in ministries, universities, research institutions, international organisations and NGOs. They are part of a global network advancing science and cooperation.

The election of US President Donald Trump, in particular, is causing the pillars of the previous world order to collapse. Les économies dans la formation, la recherche et l’innovation vont renforcer la pénurie de main-d’œuvre et nuire à l’économie suisse
Le programme d’allégement des finances fédérales 2027 prévoit des économies dans le domaine de la formation, de la recherche et de l’innovation (domaine FRI) à hauteur de plus de 460 millions de francs par an. Avec les mesures proposées par le Conseil fédéral dans le cadre de la consultation, il sera encore plus difficile pour les hautes écoles de former la main-d’œuvre qualifiée nécessaire à l’économie suisse. Le désinvestissement proposé dans l’encouragement de la recherche et de l’innovation aura un impact sur l’économie suisse : un franc économisé par la Confédération signifie une perte pour l’économie jusqu’à cinq fois supérieure. Les acteur-trices du domaine FRI demandent au Conseil fédéral de renoncer à ces économies massives.
