Services

We offer a range of unique services for you and your institution. Associate members benefit from additional services and opportunities to play an active role in shaping our activities.

We support researchers, teachers and funders in improving the quality and impact of global partnerships with the Guide for Global Research Partnerships. The guide is based on six principles that examine various aspects of research partnerships, and consider what enables or hinders collaboration in different contexts. The accompanying website provides substantial background information, examples, and guidance on strengthening equitable global partnerships in various contexts.

We offer tailored workshops and courses on establishing equitable and efficient global partnerships in research and teaching. Led by experienced experts, the workshops can be offered as standalone events, as part of an event, or to enrich a curriculum. These workshops provide an opportunity to reflect on equitable collaboration and the practical application of the Guide for Global Research Partnerships, and facilitate peer-to-peer exchange. We offer these workshops free of charge to our member organisations.

In collaboration with researchers and universities from Switzerland and around the world, we identify and explore relevant topics for global collaboration. Associate members can suggest topics and participate in selecting topics for further exploration. Based on small mandates, we work with selected partners to explore these topics in depth. Through these joint initiatives, you can explore specific aspects of global partnerships with us and partners from our network.

Contact us to suggest topics for further exploration: globalresearch@scnat.ch

We facilitate collaboration between researchers, teachers and funders, enabling you to work together, exchange knowledge and learn from each other across institutions, disciplines and continents. Our events provide networking opportunities, and events exclusively for associate institutions allow you to connect with leading Swiss institutions and funders engaged in global research. Moreover, on our website, we provide information about regional and thematic networks, as well as Switzerland's existing global research collaborations. This enables you to connect with the relevant people and networks.

We provide information on funding opportunities, academic events, publications and courses on our website, in our newsletter and on social media.

Associate members can showcase their research, publications, events and courses to a broad audience via these channels.
