25 June:

On 25 June, the launch of cinfo’s Community Platform on Localisation brought together stakeholders from across the Swiss international development and aid sector in Biel-Bienne and online.

The meeting featured a panel of experts and practitioners from the multilateral system, non-profit conservation and trans-boundary research, who shared their perspectives on experiences of putting localisation commitments into practice.

The exchange aimed to expose the audience to the different realities of operationalising sector commitments and organisational policies and guidelines through the lens of three actors and bodies working in the humanitarian, development and research fields (UN IASC Task Force on Localisation, Maliasili, KPFE).

On November 28, 2024, GRP-Alliance participated in the annual REPIC event, titled "20 Years of Successful Projects in International Cooperation." The event celebrated two decades of REPIC's impactful work in promoting renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable resource use in international development, particularly in the Global South.

At our marketplace, the GRP-Alliance presented its role as Switzerland's plattform for global research partnerships. We highlighted our efforts to foster effective, efficient, and equitable research collaboration with low- and middle-income countries. Through our engagement at the event, we shared insights on how the GRP-Alliance supports sustainable development and addresses both local and global challenges.
